        Verdict

        Koeman, who was engaged at Newmarket last night, won a course and distance handicap a year ago but is 7lb higher. Big Kitten has only won on the all-weather but led for a long way in the lucrative John Smith's Handicap at York and looks certain to make a bold bid under his very experienced rider. Mandarin has won two Class 4 handicaps in the style of a rapid improver so a 6lb rise shouldn't prevent another big run though the vote goes to INDIANAPOLIS. James Given's son of Galileo has been racing in very tough handicaps and has rarely been beaten far. He'll be finishing faster than anything and looks the one to be on as he had Melting Dew behind in the Old Newton Cup at Haydock last time.
