Verdict

Mother Earth finished runner-up in the French Guineas having earlier won the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket under Frankie Dettori. But the latter has picked-up the ride on last year’s Fillies’ Mile winner PRETTY GORGEOUS in this and Joseph O’Brien’s filly should be spot on now having been beaten by Empress Josephine in testing going at the Curragh last month in the Irish 1000 Guineas. Shale beat both the selection and Oodnadatta in the Moyglare over 7f last term but hasn’t matched that form since while last year’s Cheveley Park winner Alcohol Free is persevered with over a mile having finished fifth behind Mother Earth in the Guineas at Newmarket when Fev Rover finished third. Listed winner Primo Bacio and German 1000 Guineas winner Novemba will find this tougher and dual novice winner Potapova is thrown in at the deep end.
