Verdict
It is almost impossible to escape the claims of Gossamer after her devastating display in the Irish 1,000 Guineas last time, despite the fact that her performance was enhanced by the cut in the ground. She has a sparkling turn of foot when she is able to quicken off a strong pace and will be very hard to beat if the heavens open. Misterah has also done very little wrong and is defiantly up to taking another group race somewhere along the line. However, she may struggle to confirm her Newmarket form with Gossamer now that her rival has found winning ways again. Sophisticat may represent the biggest threat out of the two Aidan O'Brien-trained rivals and as one of the most experienced runners in the field at this level, she could be the one to spoil the party for Luca Cumani and his connections. The each way claims can be made for Disco Volante and Red Liason who should both relish the conditions and add a little more depth to another cracking contest.
