Verdict
Black Sam Bellamy has all the ticks in the right places and his effort in the Prix du Jockey Club reads very well - although any cut in the ground will enhance his claims. Mamool was disappointing in his Derby trial and must surely be better than that running. He has the ground in his favour today and should give a better account of himself here. Mr Dinos is also going the right way and should be thereabouts after a couple of decent performances this term. He has bags of stamina and the two mile-plus trip could be just up his street. Old California and Dusky Warbler are others to consider.
