          Verdict

          Scotty's Future never really landed a blow in the Royal Hunt Cup on Wednesday but can be given another chance to redeem himself. He quickened up nicely over course and distance in the Victoria Cup the previous time and will be hard to beat if he can reproduce something like that effort. Lincoln Dancer has been given a chance of reversing that form with the David Nicholls' horse and is another to consider if he can cope with the faster ground. Suggestive looked a class act before injury put his career on hold last term, but he fared well enough on his return at Windsor last month to indicate that there is still plenty more to come from him. Al Maali, Gateman and Lord Protector are others to consider along with the unpredictable Rudik, who has the ability to go close if he is on a going day.
