Verdict
Delphi Queen can beat the reappearing Badminton, with that one's stablemate Pearl Grey not out of things either. The ex-Irish Delphi Queen has done nothing but improve since moving to Sylvester Kirk and has been freshened up by a two-month plus break. Her form stands out here, with a comfortable handicap victory at Newmarket followed by an even better effort in defeat when second to Two Step Kid in the William Hill Trophy at York. She fairly flew home at Salisbury on her latest outing, and although that was on soft ground, she will have no problem with today's conditions and is the one that they all have to beat. Godolphin have two runners including Pearl Grey who chased home Attraction in the Cherry Hinton when trained by David Loder. She should improve for her Chester return but Frankie Dettori prefers Badminton, a close third in last year's Cheveley Park for Clive Britain. She has been off the track for over a year but will be one to follow this autumn. With doubts about her fitness though, Delphi Queen should prove to be the answer to this fillies and mares Listed event.
