Verdict

Golden Doyen won over hurdles last month and was placed on the Flat at Doncaster back in April off a similar mark to today’s. But ARTY CAMPBELL has to be forgiven a poor effort in the Cesarewitch trial at Newmarket last time as he ran well for third in a higher grade than this over 2m at Goodwood before that with Percy Veer behind. He also beat Hatsaway at Kempton earlier so Bernard Llewellyn’s charge gets the vote in this. Mijhaar went close at Ayr a fortnight ago and may figure but Life Less Ordinary has been well beaten over 2m the last twice now having won over 1m6f at Sandown back in July and Sunblazer is best on the all-weather.
