Verdict
Mindanao was most impressive when winning at Hexham back in June, and is taken to follow up here at the expense of Jefertiti and Polyphon. Len Lungo's mare is quite lightly raced and goes well when fresh. She has only had two chases and beat Gone Too Far in that Hexham contest in the style of a decent performer and could be a decent prospect. Jefertiti and Polyphon met at Perth in September, with the former winning the contest beating today's rival by three-quarters of a length. The runner-up is only slightly better off at the weights today, so it is difficult to separate them again, however they should both be in the shake-up. Bill's Echo may prove best of the others, but Mindanao looks to have a touch of class and is a confident choice.
