        Verdict

        Alfonso gets our call in this handicap, with Eboracum and West Highland possibly the ones to give him the most to do. The Barry Hills-trained runner returned from a four-month break and a gelding operation to finish second at Newmarket last time and, with that run under his belt, can only improve and could conceivably be a well-handicapped three-year-old. Bright Sun is held by the selection on that Newmarket run but Eboracum comes here in good heart following a good York win, although he has been raised 13 pounds now for his last two successes. She's Our Lass and Poppy's Footprints are two that might just be caught out at the top of the weights for their recent wins, but West Highland Way won his maiden over course and distance and, lightly-raced, should be capable of further improvement. Neon Blue could also go well for, much as he has been raised four pounds for his latest win, Hayley Turner takes off three of those. With Silverhay hailing from a stable in form, then his chance can also not be dismissed but, for the winner, we return to Alfonso.
