        Verdict

        Madra Rua has been campaigned over sprint trips since joining Linda Perratt and may do better now that he returns to seven furlongs and a softer surface so he gets the vote in a poor contest over Never Forget Bowie and Lady Of The Links. The last mentioned has been well held in handicaps of late so this represents a big droop in class for Nigel Tinkler's filly who makes more appeal than Passion Fruit, who has yet to prove his effectiveness on ground this soft. Micky Hammond's Perrywinkle Boy has been well held in all four career starts and of more interest may be Never Forget Bowie who has run well in better grade than this but is inconsistent. The Loose Screw faces no easy task giving weight away all round and more solid claims are held by La Fonteyne, who is another with form in better races but has disappointed of late. The vote then goes to Madra Rua who is expected to improve for the return to seven furlongs and a testing surface.
