In depth
Verdict
Mexican and Andreyev have both gone quickly downhill in recent years and with neither having given little sign of encouragement of late this is probably best left to Encounter, who gets the vote over Campbells Lad. The selection is not the most consistent of performers but holds solid claims on the strength of a second in similar company behind Ballare at Warwick and a reproduction of that form may suffice. Desert Fury has slipped down the weights this term and is probably best watched unless the market speaks in his favour. Zahunda has claims on the pick of her form and should go on the ground, while Cezzaro probably wants further to show his best form. A move for Muqarrar would be of some interest although a bigger threat may come from Campbells Lad. The son of Mind Games is far from certain to stay this trip on pedigree but has shown enough of late to suggest that he can play a part. Encounter holds solid claims though and he gets the vote.
