Thebannerkingrebel led from the front off a slow pace at Warwick to win easily. However, it would be no surprise if third Baby Ted, who started favourite but ran green, got a lot closer today on 7lb better terms. HARAMBE was easy to back at Ludlow in December but showed battling qualities to make a winning debut against what looked decent opposition. He has another quarter-mile to cover here but could give the Alan King stable a quick double. Barley Hill improved on his debut to finish second at Warwick but the market will probably be the best guide to the newcomers.
