In depth
Verdict
No surprise that the most competitive race on the Bangor card, that is featured on Channel 4, forms part of the Tote Scoop6. No Retreat and Act In Time, at the top of the handicap, normally need a couple of runs to put them right and are probably best watched for the time being. Jim Culotty will be hoping that Maidstone Monument jumps better than when unseating his jockey at Uttoxeter last time, while Maxie McDonald, one of two runners from the Nigel Twiston-Davies stable is another prone to the odd mistake. Fingers crossed there will be no problems in that department from Sue Smith's Free To Run, who gets the TEAMtalk vote. The eight-year-old has been in good form during the summer, remains well treated and can take advantage of race fitness to beat these.
