In depth

Verdict

TEQANY (NAP) was always travelling best at Newton Abbot and showed a nice turn of foot in the closing stages. This is tougher off a 5lb higher mark but there is no reason why Fergal O’Brien’s grey won’t go close again. El Borracho started favourite on his handicap debut at Stratford after two wins at Southwell but only managed fifth, though did finish ahead of Valentino Dancer. Kajaki could figure if fully wound-up, as could Ask Himself, while jockey bookings suggest Beach Break is preferred to See The Sea. Midnights' Gift has had a couple of runs on the Flat but faces a tough task for a four-year-old on these terms.
