In depth

Verdict

Notnow Seamus’ last win over hurdles came off this mark and he should find a race over fences this season. Manofthemountain won three out of four last season and there is scope to do better this term. Solstice Star ended the last campaign with a victory over hurdles at Uttoxeter and he’s won off this mark over fences in the past. Bbold looked to be running into form at Stratford but this is a lot more competitive than the races that Federici was contesting at Cartmel in the summer. Royal Village is probably best at distances short of 3m and The Welsh Paddies will likely need this. COMMODORE BARRY has been hit-and-miss over fences so far but there is undoubted potential in Kim Bailey’s seven-year-old, who is sure to have had intensive schooling since beating two rivals at Wetherby in the spring.
