Verdict
A few 'nearly' horses here and with little confidence it is CARBON HOOFPRINT who is taken to see off Mr Udagawa. An uncomplicated style of prominent racing is in the selection's favour and Peter Makin's consistent gelding is likely to give it a bold show from the front. His consistency means that he has now edged up to a mark of 75 but with form at a downhill track he looks the safest option. Full Of Nature is dropped in trip, Mr Udagawa ran well behind Gallego last time out and the form has been franked, whilst Davids Matador is slipping to an attractive-looking mark. Quinsman is less exposed than many and is another who is edging down the weights, whilst Layer Cake's recent improvement has come on the all-weather. The ex-Irish Cheetah Beetah is a real unknown and can only really be backed if heavily supported in the betting, so in an open race it is Carbon Hoofprint who is preferred.
