Verdict
The Fisio, who is equally effective over five or six furlongs is taken to land this tricky classified event over Zargus, Waterside and the consistent Sundried Tomato. The selection has been running well all season on the AW and proved his liking for turf when putting up a decent effort in a Kempton handicap 12 days ago. Martin Dwyer's return to the saddle looks a positive with the low draw the only potential worry. Zarzu has shown his best form at five furlongs but still looks capable at this distance. Beaten just over a length at Doncaster two weeks ago he looks to be the one to give The Fisio most to do especially as he goes well for his young apprentice and looks ideally drawn. Sundried Tomato is better known for his ability on the AW but decent efforts last season on turf at Goodwood and Chester suggests is a very capable of winning a race on grass - especially if there is a bit of cut. Waterside should improve on his reappearance run at Folkestone last week and at his best has definite place possibilities. With the jockey booking looking positive he has each-way claims though his chance could be hampered by his low draw. So The Fisio looks the value bet from the expected odds with the more rain in the Bath area the better for the Andrew Balding-trained gelding.
