    Verdict

As with most of these, Madhavi has been doing most of his racing on the all-weather of late but an encouraging return to turf on unsuitably soft ground here last month makes Richard Hannon's filly the one to beat and she is preferred to Royal Axminster and Ground Patrol. The last mentioned would have claims on the form shown at Lingfield in February but he has disappointed since then so may now be best watched. Milk And Sultana has yet to prove his effectiveness over this far, while Ulshaw is difficult to recommend on recent evidence. Royal Axminster is well treated on all-weather form but is better on sand and a safer bet looks to be Madhavi, who gets the vote.
