In depth

Verdict

Winning bumper Love The Melody led into the straight when tackling 2m2f at Ballinrobe but weakened quickly when headed. Trevena looked a likely future winner with a couple of decent runs over this trip in November but hasn't stayed when sent over further subsequently. Champagne Diva hadn't shown much before a better effort behind April's Joy at Kilbeggan and the winner followed up on the Flat a few days later. SHE TOPS THE LOT had three starts between the flags and pulled up in them all. She was well beaten on her hurdling debut but was a different proposition at Roscommon, disputing second when left clear to chase home the winner with the remainder struggling. She just gets the nod in a race that shouldn't take much winning.
