In depth

Verdict

Jawbox is likely to be a warm order here, as he was for his debut at Limerick where he was worn down in the closing stages after looking certain to prevail. He's bred for the Flat so wouldn't want any more rain and there may be better value in HAND IN MY POCKET. Runner-up to a subsequent easy bumper winner and close third in the championship bumper at Cheltenham, she then attempted to make all at Musselburgh but was caught by Kearney Hill, who carried a penalty to victory at Doncaster next time. In receipt of 8lb she's taken to upset the likely market leader. Derek O'Connor's presence on Laureldean Cross, who has a pedigree for the Flat, suggests the son of Cape Cross won't go unbacked while anything Charles Byrnes runs in bumpers is worth noting and For Frank is the first foal of a dual bumper winner.
