In depth

Verdict

Gordon Elliott has a strong hand in an interesting race. Battle Of Wills, three-times a winner on the Flat, made a successful hurdling bow and started favourite for a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse but didn't handle the very testing ground. Stable companion Recent Revelations, a very close fourth behind another from the yard, Aramax, in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham, made too many mistakes when runner-up at Tipperary last month and will need to improve his jumping. KING PELLINOR set the pace at Tipperary last month and never looked likely to be caught. He should continue on the upgrade and gets the nod though Laura Bullion looks certain to be thereabouts with her allowance and a recent run on the Flat to aid her cause. Anna Bunina, four-times a winner on the Flat in the UK, made a very promising start over timber when a close third in a Musselburgh Listed race and her two later runs were in Grade 2/3 company.
