Verdict

A winner over today’s distance before scoring over a mile at Bath, WINGED SPUR is taken to land the hat-trick with an apprentice’s allowance negating a 7lb rise. She returned a clear winner last time and the runner-up has subsequently won. Angel Of The North struggled in better company at Newmarket recently but finished closer at Brighton earlier while Sageness finished fourth at Redcar on her penultimate start. Chickpea makes her handicap and seasonal debut and could figure in a weak contest without troubling the selection. 5.20
