In depth

Verdict

This is probably likely to rest between Honey Ryder and debutante Light Of Dubai and the vote just goes to the former on grounds of experience. Though Light Of Dubai is impeccably bred and Godolphin have had one winner from just their one runner at Beverley so far this campaign, the Gone West filly has not been seen out on the track yet and this five furlongs is not the easiest place to be doing so, so getting involved at short odds, even from such connections, does not look the way to get rich. That is not to say that she won't run a good race, as she probably will do, but we prefer Honey Ryder. She ran green at Thirsk on debut, when short headed by Top Form over six furlongs on fast ground. Clearly conditions are different here, but with improvement to come from David Loder's charge we anticipate that she will have to much in the locker for her opponents, and she is taken to score.
