Verdict
Gold Queen can step up on a promising debut to open her account at the expense of Riyma, and newcomers Caribbean Dancer and Intrigued. Mick Channon has had quite a few placed horses this week and is due a purple patch very shortly. Gold Queen can help start it by improving on her third to Shangai Lily at Newbury. The daughter of Grand Lodge holds an entry in the Meon Valley Stud Fillies' Mile at ascot and her recent work on the gallops has been most encouraging. Sir Michael Stoute's youngsters always improve for the run and so do not be surprised if Riyma leaves her Yarmouth running behind. Mark Johnston has a wealth of talent in this department and Caribbean Dancer is sure to know her job. She might not turn into another Attraction but will win races. Any money for Sir Mark Prescott's newcomer Intrigued should be noted, but on breeding she will come on markedly next year. An interesting maiden can go to Gold Queen who can take this before going on to better things.
