Verdict

The defection of Desert Flair from the overnight decs has paved the way for an expected easy success for Miss McGuire in this maiden with Snow Symphony and Command Respect tipped to follow her home Miss McGuire was a 33-1 shot when narrowly defeated by Tasjeel in a maiden at Bath last month. Encouragingly, Gary Moore is not noted for his first time out winners and the form has been franked with the winner going on to finish third in a 0-95 handicap at York. Miss McGuire will be at prohibitive odds and, though consistently backing short price maidens is a sure way to the workhouse, Miss McGuitre is impossible to oppose with trip and ground not an issue. Forecast players are advised to include Snow Symphony rather than Command Respect. The first-named does have to overcome a long absence and, as mentioned previously, the form of David Simcock, but at least he did show some promise last season and could have improved over the winter. Command Respect, it could be argued, ran in a decent maiden at Windsor - the winner Classic Punch is in the Irish Derby - but Willie Muir's colt was tailed off and looks only moderate. This should result in an easy win for Miss McGuire
