In depth

Verdict

WILD HOPE (NAP) was eased down in the closing stages and still won by four lengths over 7f here last time. A penalty is reduced by an apprentice’s allowance and Kevin Ryan’s charge should confirm running with second-placed Barasti Dancer. Global Gift can figure now handicapping after going close in novice company at Wetherby while Lightning Attack was placed in soft going at Nottingham and Stronsay found only one too good over 7f at Musselburgh. Ollivander came good at Southwell last time, Blazing Dreams landed a double at Newcastle in April and Beaufort gets first-time headgear dropping down in trip.
