In depth

Yarrow Gate showed some promise at Beverley on her debut when finishing well ahead of Champagne Victory in fourth but the form hasn’t worked out well. By contrast, STARS IN THE NIGHT beat a subsequent winner when third in soft ground at Chester last time despite losing ground when running wide on the home bend. Kevin Ryan’s filly is also preferred to Dream Kart and gets another chance. Exceptional is a sister to a Listed winner and a half-sister to other winners and makes most appeal of the newcomers ahead of Miss Lucy and Dearly Beloved.
