In depth

Verdict

Stonehaugh, Glenbuck and Chalentina are the three to concentrate upon and we shall take a chance with Stonehaugh. A winner on fast ground, he caught the eye at Beverley on his latest outing and while it is a worry that he has taken some time off since, the market should confirm whether he is straight enough after those weeks off the track. Glenbuck won on a lightning fast surface at Wolverhampton on Saturday night and would have to have chances if transferring that form back onto turf. Chalentina won a weak maiden at Yarmouth and more is required against this opposition. John Keats showed glimpses of ability with John Gosden but has become regressive in recent months as far as the formbook is concerned. Night In ran better than the finishing position suggests at Haydock and should be watched in the market. Sir Orpen continues to plummet down the weights without winning. Stonehaugh gets the vote.
