In depth
Verdict
Wet Lips, Del Trotter, Bushido and Lord of The Loch are the main protagonists here and we will side with the last mentioned. This gelding ran really well last time out at Newcastle when second behind Hopeful Chance. That form reads well in the context of this race and if he can reproduce that effort he will be hard to beat. Wet Lips looks the main danger as he was a good second behind Deja Vu last time, and it will be a surprise if he is not good enough to make the frame. Del Trotter is from an in-form yard and is another that can't be discounted now that he is back over hurdles after a disappointing run over fences. He was a close second behind Real Shady at Hexham on his last outing over hurdles, and with the step up in trip sure to suit he will not be far away. Bushido is from a top yard and will be interesting if he is supported in the market, but in a competitive event, Lord of the Loch gets the vote.
