Verdict
Gary's Pimpernell was an unlucky second at Newcastle last time and can make amends here at the main expense of Classical Ben and Spring Gamble. Our selection is a course and distance winner and has been a model of consistency to date. If he can reproduce his previous form, he will be hard to beat. Classical Ben was a fair third behind Smithlyn last time but he could be vulnerable to a newcomer as his form to date has only been moderate. Spring Gamble showed promise when third behind County Classic at Sedgefield last time and he could be open to further improvement so is worth serious consideration. Of the rest, a market move for any of the newcomers would have to be noted, but in a tricky finale, Gary's Pimpernell is the choice.
