      In depth

      Verdict

Barking Mad looks the best one here overall, with Harry May, Tedstale and Peter's Imp others for the short-list. Barking Mad is always likely to be dangerous in this company, but the point that stops him being a good thing is the fact that he was 21lb well in on the ratings at Musselburgh last time but was beaten, albeit narrowly, by Regency Red. The stable continues in fine form though and he has been found yet another suitable opportunity to score. Harry May was a fair second last time, but as one of three three-year-olds in the line-up, will have to be on top of his game, while Tedstale has lost his form a bit but his yard can do no wrong at present. Peter's Imp is a previous course and distance winner so has to be respected, but Baking Mad has plenty going for him again and is worth another chance.
