Nothing makes strong appeal in a modest affair. Young Tiger is well enough drawn to adopt a prominent early position and has a sound claim here at his best. He's arguably better over the minimum trip though but should be able to last out the extra furlong around this sharp circuit on good ground and a prominent effort should prove forthcoming. Mr Strutter and Windforpower are regulars in this level of competition around the northern circuit and both should be in the mix but Meandmyshadow has gone off the boil. CUPID'S ARROW makes much more appeal as Ruth Carr's gelding has taken time to find his form but the last two runs have been much more like it and he's a hopeful choice to sustain that progress off a reduced mark, especially if settling better.
