        Verdict

Itlaaq showed the fires still burn at the age of 12 when scoring for the first time in over two years in an amateur riders' contest at Ripon and a similar performance would see him bang in contention off a 4lb higher mark. He holds Calliope on that evidence but a chance is taken with SHARP REPLY. He remains unexposed after a handful of starts, drops into Class 6 level for the first time and may have sufficient quality to defy topweight. It will be disappointing if he's not there or thereabouts at this level. King Of The Celts was much better the last day but the consistent pair of course and distance winner, Wotabreeze and dual recent winner Zihaam represent likelier shortlist contenders and both are well respected.
