Verdict
Laurel Dawn bounced back to form last time and can follow up today at the expense of Valiant Romeo and Chico Guapo. The selection only landed a weak apprentice handicap at Beverley last time, but she did it in great style, bolting out of the stalls and running her rivals ragged. She is still well treated and can go very close on a track suited to front runners. Valiant Romeo has been knocking on the door recently and the form of his last outing at Beverley when fourth to Dizzy In The Head has been given numerous boosts. Chico Guapo's form figures are not that inspiring at the moment, but he is steadily dropping down the weights and could run into a place at decent odds. Of the others Vigorous should be noted in the betting as he is a typical Dandy Nicholls runner, who could be about to strike, however Laurel Dawn is in great heart at present and gets our vote.
