Verdict

Beggars Cross won over this trip at Doncaster but then turned in a shocker over slightly shorter at Newbury. James King won a big race at Aintree earlier this week and his 5lb claim will help PETITE POWER try and get back on track after a below-par effort over hurdles last time. Boa Island was in good form in the autumn but has let standards slip lately and still looks a few pounds too high. Desert Retreat was 0-11 in bumpers and hurdle races and makes his chasing bow while Get Involved only ran on Tuesday and was again disappointing.
