In depth

Verdict

Peckhamecho wound the clock back at Warwick in January but it may not pay to take that form too literally. He was a non-runner at Aintree yesterday. He's A Bully is sure to have benefited from his run behind a well-handicapped rival at Ludlow in February. Deputy Commander and Bassarabad are both capable of going close if in the mood and make more appeal than veteran Paddy The Oscar and an out-of-sorts Clubs Are Trumps but the penny appears to have dropped with LAC SACRE (NAP) and, as he seems to run his best races here, a follow-up to last month’s victory looks on the cards.
