Verdict

A small field goes to post for this race and all would have a chance on their best form but the confident vote goes to Puntal. The gelding from the Martin Pipe yard impressed with his fencing on his chasing debut when defeating Duke Of Buckingham. He is sure to have learnt from the experience and under conditions that suit he will be hard to beat. Brother Joe rates the main danger he has plenty of experience over fences but he will struggle to give 10 pounds and a beating to the selection. Le Duc is also worthy of respect as he gets all the weight for age allowances and he won well on his fencing bow but he will need to improve again to defeat the confident selection Puntal.
