Verdict

Another small field goes to post for this handicap chase and all would have a chance on their best form but the selection is Drom Wood. The seven year old from the Tom George yard was a fair fourth behind Shardante last time out and if he can reproduce that effort here he will be hard to beat. Sir Robo rates the main danger he ran as if in need of the run when fifth behind County Flyer last time out but he is sure to strip fitter here and he should go well despite top weight. Felix Darby and Dead Eyed Dick have failed to complete in their last few starts and are hard to recommend unless the market speaks significantly in their favour so we are happy to side with Drom Wood.
