Verdict

Four runners go to post for this handicap chase and the principals look to be Nick The Jewel, Toi Express and Canadiane and the confident vote goes to Toi Express. The gelding from the Philip Hobbs yard has been very impressive in his two wins to date notably when defeating Daisy Dale over hurdles. He returns to chasing on a fair mark and with conditions in his favour he will be hard to beat. Nick The Jewel rates the main danger he won well last time when defeating Minster York and this bold jumping front runner is sure to go close again. Canadiane could also go well but she has ran as if in the handicappers grip of late and her best form is over a slightly shorter trip so she is passed over. Flahives First has been running well of late without winning and is another that looks in the handicappers grip so we are happy to stick with Toi Express.
