In depth

Verdict

Despite displaying wayward tendencies, Megaudais Speed was second at Wincanton in February when returning from a lengthy absence. Back with Laura Young, he probably up to that form over 3m at Wetherby next time but this trip may be on the short side. KAPROYALE has placed a couple of times over 2m but has not fared as well over further. However, he does give the impression that this trip should be within his compass so he gets the nod in a race that won’t take much winning. Poet's Reflection is the other obvious candidate having got off the mark in a slightly better contest at Taunton, for which he’s only been raised 2lb.
