Verdict

Top Jaro gets the call in a competitive event, ahead of Indian Edge and The Gaikwar. Indian Edge is a course and distance winner that is not far above a winning mark. The conditions will also suit Top Jaro, who is also on a competitive mark. Add to the list of, well, those you can build a case for based on similar lines of thinking are Merrymadcap, course and distance winner The Gaikwar, The Grey One, who is not far above a winning mark, Corrib who is unexposed at today's trip, Milton's Keen, who was just touched off in a soft-ground claimer last time and who could improve further over tonight's longer trip, Whistleupthewind, who showed a return to form at Newmarket last time, and Fun In The Sun, who seemed to show some improvement last time. Of the others, Marker is on a good mark if getting back to his best 2006 form, and Measured Response has dropped to a reasonable mark if able to repeat a couple of good runs here of last May and June. For the selection, though, we will stick with Top Jaro.
