      In depth

      Verdict

Mujtaba, gelded in April, has presumably had issues of one sort or another to be making a belated debut this deep into his 3-y-o career and would not have be anything out of the ordinary to land this modest maiden. He's attractively bred and the market should provide a leading clue as to stable expectations first time up. He may well outclass this field but RANI OF JHANSI has by far the best form of those with experience and rates a perfectly acceptable alternative to the Haggas charge. She receives the 5lb sex allowance and Tom Marquand has been booked. The rest have plenty to find with newcomer Ship To Shore a hopeful choice for third spot.
