        Verdict

        Trevor Whelan has made a good impression since turning his attentions exclusively to the Flat and has notched up 20 wins at the time of writing, two of which have come on Secret Potion for the Harris yard. The pair are respected here but an 8lb rise for those victories could just prove a bridge too far. Angus Villiers is another rider catching the eye this term and his 5lb claim may prove decisive on the reliable veteran, BELLEVARDE. The combination struck at Windsor two starts back over this trip and ground and the Price mare remains feasibly weighted. Course and distance winners Atty's Edge and Blue Venture are both of interest and merit shortlist inclusion.
