In depth

Verdict

Not too much form to go on and, as ever in these type of events, the market should provide further clues. However, Armaguedon sets a fair standard and is selected to complete a hat-trick after fluent wins at Newcastle and Ayr this term. Lennie Lungo's highly regarded gelding looks the type to progress further and will appreciate a stamina test at the trip so should take plenty of beating. Martin Pipe has a strong hand with recent winners Control and Villa and both will handle the conditions so it would be no surprise to see either posing a threat. Tinoveritas showed plenty of encouragment on his recent debut and can only improve while Mini Mandy has place claims if fit for her return.
