Verdict

Godolphin can take this Listed prize with URBAN POET; the list of dangers is headed by Blue Bajan and Traffic Guard. The draw is a negative for the selection but Godolphin are in good form at present and this colt does look the class act in this race. He has already run well in Group company but he did disappoint at Goodwood last time and he will need to bounce back from that effort if he is to take this. Blue Bajan is more exposed than our selection but he has a good draw and he ran a blinder when last seen out in a Group 2 event at York when he chased home Ask. Traffic Guard was an emphatic winner at Windsor last month in Listed company when he showed plenty of improvement for the step up in trip. If he can build on that then he has an obvious chance today. Cheshire Prince loves it here and the trainer also does well with his runners at this venue but he is likely to find this race a little too hot, and we will nominate the unexposed Urban Poet as the pick.
