Verdict

Although Cadamosto scored over the minimum at Dundalk, he appeared to find that trip too sharp in last week's Norfolk Stakes but still ran a fine race though he finished behind runner-up GO BEARS GO, who led until headed in the final strides - the latter can go one better. Andreas Vesalius and Twilight Jet were both behind and there doesn't appear any reason why the form shouldn't be confirmed. Dr Zempf, a 420,000gns yearling, made a very impressive debut here earlier in the month and normal progress would see him in the firing-line while Castle Star beat Masseto in a Group 3 on heavy ground here and the latter ran well in the Coventry Stakes last week. Richard Hannon has won this twice in recent years so knows what it takes and the battling Dukebox has to be on the shortlist.
