Verdict
CADILLAC (NAP) is the highest rated and his form bears the closest scrutiny. An easy debut winner, he was narrowly beaten by Mac Swiney in the Futurity here then beat Van Gogh easily at Leopardstown. Not at his best behind St Mark's Basilica in the Dewhurst, he ended the campaign with a good run in the Breeders' Cup and should be winning at the top level this season. Dawn Patrol, placed in last year's Irish Derby when still a maiden, has moved from Aidan to Joseph and looks a Melbourne Cup type though still looks better than his two stablemates. True Self has been a brilliant servant to connections having won 11 times, including twice at Group 3 level in Australia. She probably ran her best-ever race in the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup here last month and looks the one to take advantage if the selection isn't at his best.
