In depth

Verdict

Some disappointing types here but it does look a good opportunity for Flying Bantam, who can beat Roan Raider and Ragazzi. Richard Fahey's horses are in good form at present and this son of Fayruz ran a cracker to finish second behind Snow Wolf at Redcar last time. That winner is rated 78 so against this opposition Flying Bantam should have too much class. Roan Raider ran well in a class D maiden her last week when a close up third behind Rene Barbier and looks to be the main threat to the selection. The dark horse in the line-up could be Ragazzi who was quite well beaten on his sole outing but is from a shrewd yard and will no doubt come on for the run. One to watch for in the betting is the selection's stable-mate Wonder Wolf, who ran with little promise on his debut at Nottingham. But this is not the strongest event and Flying Bantam does look to be the best bet.
