        Verdict

        A large field goes to post for this competitive Maiden Auction and the betting may be the best guide as to what is expected. Mac The Knife is a Daggers Drawn colt from a top yard who is related to two-year-old winners and he looks sharp enough on pedigree to make a bold show. Kuringai at least has experience on his side as he finished fourth in a similar contest behind Western Roots at Lingfield when sent off favourite. He will know more here and he is a danger to all. King Tara us a Foxhound gelding from a shrewd yard and is worth a look in the market. Close Fisted is a full brother to a five furlong winner in Neptune's Gift and hew to should be watched in the marke4t. Of the remainder Ever Cheerful is from a yard that does well with it's two year olds and is another one to consider.
