Takeachanceonme was unlucky not to lose her maiden tag at Gowran when caught close home after her rider dropped his whip. That was on very heavy ground over a mile and if handling this surface she has to go close. Current State and Merryn Moo also ran over a mile at Limerick on their introductions and showed up nicely while the beautifully-bred Linet will have benefited from last year's run and should do well in her second season. MORSELLE was a 33/1 chance on her debut over 1m1f at Gowran but was still in the lead at today's trip and, with that under her belt, can continue Dermot Weld's spectacular start to the season. Ortiga, beaten a short-head here on her reappearance, didn't do quite as well on her next start but is an obvious threat as is Deemah, who got no sort of run on her latest start here in February.
